 STATE BUDGET UPLIFTS ESSENTIAL WORKERS

The General Fund Budget for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year passed in the Pennsylvania Senate and received Governor Wolf’s final sign-off. So, now what? Well, we’ve already boasted plenty about the historic cut to Pennsylvania’s Corporate Net Tax income rate that this budget will deliver over the next ten years. Here are a few key highlights of how the budget will affect Pennsylvanians: 

– Support education through maximized funding – More than $200 million in resources to support law enforcement agencies. – $150 million to bolster nursing home staffing to better care for our seniors. – Securing $2.1 billion in additional funds for the Rainy Day Fund to prepare for a potential recession.
